* Gas stoves are the most common among campers. They are quick to set up and relatively light in weight.

* Charcoal stoves are used in large expeditions where one may also need some warmth. They are good for cooking although they have a great shortcoming of weight

It is important to get the appropriate fuel basing on other factors like number of campers and cooking utensils available.
