Outdoor Table Chair Set

Chairs for outdoor tables can be made of different types of materials; for example, wood, metal and even stone. The advantage of having these seats outside is that you have an ample space to relax when your house gets too hot or when you need a quiet time alone. However, you might want to make your outdoor table chair set more comfortable and an easier way of doing this would be to put soft cushions on them. This is a task that you can accomplish on your own without any sweat. Here is how to go about it:

1. The main factor that you have to consider is the thickness you want your cushions to have. This will influence the amount of material you are going to use to make the pillow covers. You can use foam to fill the cushions. Take the measurements of the seats. To increase comfort and make the cushions fit into the chairs, measurements of the seats should be larger by an inch.

2. Put down your pattern on a piece of paper then remove it carefully using a razor blade. Take two layers of the material, attach them to the pattern and cut out. Put the right sides of the fabric together and hold them in place using pins. These sides will become the outsides of your covers.

3. Stitch the sides of the covers together and leave a space through which to put the foam or any other filling you are using. Fill up the cushions and stitch up the opening using needle and thread.

4. To lengthen the lifespan of any object, you have to clean it. The same applies to your seats and cushions. Clean them so that they might last longer. The cushions should be cleaned using a lot of water, soap and brush that has soft bristles. Soak the cushions in soapy water for a quarter hour then scrub and rinse them well. Dry them under a shade.

5. Depending on the material that has been used to make your seats, cleaning methods will differ. For canvas material seats, take off the canvas if you can. Use a hard bristled brush and soap to scrub it clean, and then replace it on the seats before you take them out in the sun to dry.

6. Seats made of a metallic material like aluminum should be cleaned using a smooth scrubbing material and soapy water. Rinse with a lot of water and wipe them dry.
